The institution was established in 1998 in southwestern city of Nepal, Bhairahawa which is very near to the birthplace of lord Buddha, Lumbini with the aim to provide quality medical education in Nepal. The college is affiliated to the Tribhuvan University, the largest and oldest university of Nepal and currently running MBBS and BDS programs. The college has its own 700 beded teaching hospital to teach and train its own students and also provide health services of the surrounding areas.
