We use the general term CONTRIBUTOR to describe a person who has been LINKED to a PUBLICATION in the database. There are nine types of CONTRIBUTOR roles:

As indicated in the table above, some roles - such as author and translator - apply to most PUBLICATION types, while others primarily refer to a single publication type (COMPILER is for a BOOKSTACK, organizer is for a conference).
